From mountain tops to hot springs and craters, whichever way you go Boise and Crater Lake will not disappoint your flying adventures. Long cross-country flights take lots of precise planning, and patience, but the reward of flight within this region is stunning.
San Carlos Flight Center invites CFI David Agranovich to highlight his experience traveling to Boise, via Klamath Falls and Crater Lake and share what it took to successfully plan the flight. He will discuss key factors to consider in the route planning from the Bay Area as well as flight operations at Boise and in and around Crater Lake. His presentation will cover common flight aspects to consider including operating at high elevation airports, density altitude, rising terrain, and complex airspace. Lastly, he will highlight activities available, including taking in the gorgeous sights of Crater Lake from either air or the ground, or exploring nearby national parks. Whether you choose to take in the sights from the air, the ground, or both, this region will not disappoint. |
