Did you know that one of the nation’s premier helicopter inventors and manufacturers, the Hiller Helicopter Company, originated in the Bay Area? Stanley Hiller Jr. was a successful young entrepreneur who designed a series of early helicopters on the SF peninsula, in an area very near to the location of the current San Carlos Airport.
San Carlos Flight Center invites Hiller Aviation Museum President and CEO, Jeff Bass to share the story of Stanley Hiller, Jr. In this seminar, learn more about the little known story of this Bay Area aviation legend and how his efforts empowered the growth of the aviation industry. Along the way, Jeff will describe the interesting Hiller aircraft which form part of the Hiller Aviation Museum’s 50+ collection of airplanes and helicopters.
Join us to hear about this local Bay Area aviator and a piece of the unique aviation history of San Carlos.
