How My Plane Buying Experience Went

Most pilots have considered the possibility of someday owning an airplane, even if most end up only renting. Those that have bought an airplane know that it can be just as involved as buying a home or business, and takes a lot of careful consideration. What plane to buy? How should I structure ownership? So many questions for a new purchasing owner to find answers to.
San Carlos Flight Center invites in new owner Greg Pinetti to review the process he went through in locating and buying his first airplane, a Piper Dakota that recently joined SCFC’s flight line. SCFC Owner Alessandro Franco will ask Greg about the research and preparation he went through before starting the buying process, and what his experience was like once the offer was made. What things was he prepared for? What key lessons did he learn along the way? What advice would he have for others about to buy their own first aircraft.
