November 14 (Mon) 7:00pm Full Moon Flyers: Harris Ranch

Event Date:
Monday, November 14, 2016 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Each month, several FOG pilots take part in the Full Moon Flyers dinner flight, this month the moon will be its closet to Earth since 1948, hence the Supermoon. Some are out of night currency, so they fly alone or bring along a CFI. Some are night current and bring along friends. Some student pilots grab a CFI to fulfil the night cross country requirement in a more fun and social way. Come along and join us for a social group dinner, followed the biggest and brightest super moonlit flight back home.

This month we fly to Harris Ranch Airport (3O8) for dinner at the Harris Ranch Restaurant. This is a popular destination for private pilots. Harris Ranch is synonymous with delicious steaks, and this restaurant has everything you could possibly image. Even vegetarians will find several tasty options.

Meet in the transient parking area at the north end of the field at 7:00pm and walk to the restaurant together. Do 3 full stop landing along the way home to reset your night currency. Los Banos? San Martin? Hollister? Each pilot is pic of their own flight and picks the route and airports of their choice.
