Dec 12 (Thu) 7 pm  Full "Cold" Moon Ella’s at the Airport, Watsonville (KWVI)

Dec 12th is the Full Cold Moon and this month we will fly to the Monterey Bay area for dinner In Watsonville at Ella’s at the Airport.

Just South of Santa Cruz, Watsonville is located in the Pajaro Valley of the Monterey Bay Area. In 1848, the California Gold Rush greatly accelerated immigration to California. Judge John H. Watson and D. S. Gregory laid out the town in 1852. The community was incorporated as the Town of Watsonville about March 30, 1868 and named after Judge Watson. From 1943 through 1945, the Navy commissioned Watsonville Airport as Naval Air Auxiliary Station Watsonville (NAAS Watsonville) and served as a satellite to Naval Air Station (NAS) Alameda. The largest aircraft to ever land at Watsonville were 05-5141 and 05-5143, C-17 Globemaster IIIs from March ARB, CA.

Enjoy the mediterranean climate of the Monterey Bay as the week winds down and dine with us at Ella’s at the Airport adjacent to the main ramp at the Airport.

Because of the history of fog in this area, our alternate will be Livermoore at Cattlemens  Restaurant.

Each month, several FOG pilots take part in the Full Moon Flyers dinner flight. Some are out of night currency, so they fly alone or bring along a CFI. Some are night current and bring along a friend. Some are student pilots with their CFI, fulfilling the night cross country requirement in a more fun and social way.  So come along and join us for a social group dinner, followed by a beautifully moonlit flight back home.

Please sign up below so we can get an accurate headcount and keep you in the loop with updates.

FOG is for EVERYONE.  You do not have to be a San Carlos Flight Center member to attend.
