SUMMARY:Destination Little River
DESCRIPTION:Little River and Mendocino are two towns that are known for their scenic headlands\, historic villages\, arts and culture\, nearby nature due to the proximity to redwood groves\, Russian Gulch State Park (known for its 36-foot waterfall and Devil’s Punchbowl) and food with farm-to-table dining\, local craft breweries\, and close proximity to the Anderson Valley wine region. \nSan Carlos Flight Center invites CFI Darin Bernstein to discuss what pilots flying to Little River need to know. New destinations\, especially cross-country flights\, challenge pilots to expand their skills and adapt to different scenarios. In this seminar\, Darin will summarize flight planning to the Little River airport\, KLLR. He will review common routes\, insider secrets about the airport\, local transportation and what to do in the area. \nIf you ever considered venturing to a new destination with spectacular beauty and nature\, the area around Little River will not disappoint you. Join us for this seminar to hear tips about making a trip to Little River a success. \nSan Carlos Flight Center (SCFC) is the SF Bay Area’s most dynamic flying club\, committed to building general aviation through safety\, community\, and adventure. AOPA has consistently recognized SCFC in their Best Flight School survey\, most recently in 2019 as a Distinguished Flight School. \nSCFC is committed to promoting safety in general aviation through our regular safety seminars and guest speaker programs. Livestream access is free for everyone\, but recorded seminars are available solely to members at a later date. Click here or contact a SCFC member service rep at (650) 946-1700 for more information about online access to our web archive.
