June 15 (Sat) 10:00am SCFC and EAA Chapter 20's Young Eagles Flights

Event Date:
Saturday, June 15, 2019 - 10:00am to 12:00pm

Young Eagles is a program launched in 1992 by EAA.  The program's goal was to take one million children in airplane rides before the hundredth anniversary of the Wright brothers first flight. The program was successful due to the kindness and generosity of thousands of EAA members.  To date the program has given flights to over 1.3 million children.

EAA Chapter 20 is proud to be part of the Young Eagles program.  EAA Chapter 20 hosts Young Eagles flights every third Saturday at the San Carlos Airport.  Young Eagles is open to children between the ages of 8 and 17. *Our flights are from 10AM to Noon, and we usually start logging people about 30 minutes before the start.  The online pre-registration simply confirms you are planning to attend and helps us with planning. The priority is given to first-time kids, even if they have walked in, then to returning young eagles.  ** Please remember** - This is a professional association and most of our members who volunteer are Professionals and manage full-time jobs like everyone else, so we do apprecate your consideration for our time and efforts in providing this service to the youth in our communities.

To get your free Young Eagles flight, come to the San Carlos Airport Terminal Building (620 Airport Way, San Carlos) adjacent to the airfield, on the third Saturday of the month (weather permitting).  You will need to fill out a short form that requires a legal guardian's signature. The online form is for pre-registraion only.  A paper form is required to be filled out and signed by the Parent or legal guardian. Parents / Legal Guardians must be present for the event.
