January 10 (Wed) 7:00pm The Role of the FAA Safety Inspector

Event Date:
Wednesday, January 10, 2018 - 7:00pm

FAA’s Aviation Safety Inspectors (ASIs) administer, investigate and enforce safety regulations and standards for the production, operation, maintenance and modification of all aircraft flying today. They work in four specialty areas: avionics, manufacturing, maintenance and operations.

Join Glenn Gathright from the Oakland FDSO and an inspector on his team as they review the role of the safety inspector and how he fulfill his duties.  If you have ever had an encounter with one, you may have been surprised they were more helpful than not. Keeping our pilot certificate in good standing is one of our most prized goals, and Glenn and his team will tell us the best way to do that.

Glenn Gathright is the FAASTeam Program Manager at Oakland FSDO as well as an Aviation Safety Inspector, A/W, and FAA Flight Standards for 22 years
