January 10 (Sun) 11:00am FOG Lunch: Castle Air Museum with YAW

Event Date:
Sunday, January 10, 2016 - 11:00am

It's that time again - time for our monthly social lunch flight. We pick a great destination with a restaurant on the field or nearby, and meet up there for a relaxing lunch. We can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

This month we head to Atwater, CA to visit the Castle Air Museum with Young Aviators Weekend (YAW). Fly-out to Castle Air Museum, a former Air Force base. Castle Air Museum hosts many historic aircraft, from pre-WWII to the present. Aircraft on display includes the B-17G Flying fortress, the F-14 Tomcat, and SR-71A Blackbird. Castle Air Museum also has wartime memorabilia including aircraft engines, military uniforms, historic photos, and personal military artifacts from the past century.

FOG Lunches are great for bringing along friends and family members who aren't pilots. Show your significant other, kids, and friends what fun you have with your favorite hobby!

We are encouraging everyone to take along a student pilot, to share the fun. Pilots - please list any open seats in your plane. Students - please sign up, then contact those with open seats to ride along.
